Meet the Franchise Support Team Behind Speedy Signs NZ
A key ingredient in the success of the Speedy Signs brand is the experience and support provided by the people behind it.

Grant Archibald | Founder & Managing Director
In 1998, my wife Sarah and I launched the pilot Speedy Signs store in Penrose, Auckland. We built the business from the ground up while raising our three boys, and I still clearly remember the day we opened our doors.
What started as a husband-and-wife business has grown into a national franchise network. As Managing Director, I oversee the direction, operations and continued development of the Speedy Signs brand.
Over the years, I have worked across franchise sales, marketing, financial education, business coaching and mentoring. My role includes managing the support team, strengthening our franchise systems and developing strategies that help owners grow their local businesses.
One of the most rewarding parts of my role is supporting franchise owners as they build confidence, capability and momentum within the Speedy Signs network.

James Archibald | Franchise Development Manager
My role is to help prospective franchisees explore Speedy Signs opportunities and understand whether the business is the right fit for their skills, goals and financial position.
I guide people through the enquiry process, discovery, due diligence, resale opportunities and new franchise development. This includes helping prospective owners understand the business model, the owner’s role, the support available and the steps involved in joining the network.
My background is in sales, management and business development. I aim to have honest, commercially grounded conversations so prospective franchisees can make informed decisions about business ownership.

Peter Smythe | Operations Advisor
I owned and operated Speedy Signs Auckland CBD with my wife, Heather, for over 15 years before selling the business in 2021. During that time, I mentored other franchisees and served on several franchise committees, giving me a strong understanding of the realities of running a B2B signage business within a franchise system.
Today, my role as an Operations Advisor is to support Speedy Signs and Fully Promoted franchisees with practical advice, operational guidance and business improvement.

Aaron Hills | Operations Advisor
With 38 years in the signage industry, I bring extensive experience across sign-making, sales, project management, systems development and franchise operations.
I have been involved with Speedy Signs since the beginning and played a key role in the development of the franchise network, including systems, processes and training for franchise locations. As an Operations Advisor, I support franchise owners and their teams with practical guidance to improve operations, build capability and grow stronger businesses.

Morgan Jamieson | Marketing Manager
After completing a Bachelor of Business in Marketing and Accounting at Auckland University of Technology, I joined the franchise support team to help strengthen the marketing and visibility of the Speedy Signs and Fully Promoted brands across New Zealand.
As Marketing Manager, my role includes coordinating national TV and radio campaigns, creating email marketing campaigns, managing digital advertising and supporting franchisees with marketing training and local area marketing activity. I’m passionate about helping franchise owners promote their businesses and build stronger brand awareness in their local markets.

Ard Zeneli | Digital Marketing Coordinator
I am a Bachelor of Commerce graduate from the University of Auckland, with a double major in Marketing and Innovation and Entrepreneurship. As Digital Marketing Coordinator, I support group marketing activity for Speedy Signs across website updates, SEO, social media and digital content.
My role includes helping franchisees improve their online visibility through their local websites and social media platforms. I focus on creating practical digital marketing support that helps franchise owners strengthen their local presence and promote their businesses more effectively.

Sarah Archibald | Events Manager
Before Speedy Signs, I worked in Rotorua at the Sheraton and Novotel Hotels across sales, conferencing and public relations. In 1998, Grant and I moved to Auckland with our five-month-old baby to launch the pilot Speedy Signs store in Penrose.
Since then, my roles have included running the Fully Promoted pilot store, building supplier relationships, supporting franchise development, helping with training, and working alongside new franchise owners as they joined the network.
Today, my role focuses on organising our annual conference and other franchise events, helping bring franchise owners, suppliers and the support team together across the Speedy Signs and Fully Promoted network.

Mark Lovegrove | Business Coach & Mentor
I have led small, medium and large businesses across a range of industries for more than 20 years, before launching my own consulting and coaching business in 2016. I have worked with a number of Speedy Signs and Fully Promoted franchise owners as part of the wider support network, helping with goal setting, strategic planning, accountability and business development. My role is to help owners step back from the day-to-day operations, focus on their priorities and build stronger businesses.
